Where do I register my car now that Broomfield is a county? The Motor Vehicle is now located at One DesCombes Drive on the west end of the building (the old Police Department). Vehicle registration and titling services are available to Broomfield residents at this location. You will not be able to register or title your vehicles at the previous county locations. Where do I go to get my driver's license? Driver's licenses will still be issued from the state offices. Their locations will remain the same and may be found in the blue government pages of your phone book under State, Motor Vehicle. just bought a new car. What do I need to do next? Do I need to get an emissions test? Depending on the age of your vehicle and the last date of testing, you may need an emissions test. Check your renewal notice, it should indicate if you need the test, or you can contact our office. I've seen other kinds of license plates on cars. Can I get different plates? There are several types of license plates available for an additional annual fee. Some of the more popular plates are Honorary Discharge, Pioneer, and Columbine. Many of these plates have required qualifiers and are available in limited quantities. If you are interested and want more information, stop by or call our office.
